Lake of the Ozarks Shootout & Shootout Offshore 2024

In yet another shift to raise more funds with every passing year, the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout has appointed a direct salesperson to market both digital and printed advertisements for the 2024 LOTO Race Guide. The next few months and beyond will be crucial for the Shootout as it continues to move in directions which will allow for internalized branding and increased profitability.

Effective February 7th, 2024, the Shootout Board of Directors moved in favor to appoint Destiny Jones, a native to the Lake of the Ozarks, as the Shootout and Shootout Offshore’s new manager of sales. This position’s immediate aim is to raise funds through advertisements and marketing. A total of 10,000 copies of the first-ever 2024 LOTO Race Guide – a compilation of the former standalone Shootout and Shootout Offshore (formerly Lake Race) Guides – will be distributed across the Lake of the Ozarks in May ahead of Memorial Day Weekend and before either event takes place.

The 2024 LOTO Race Guide will encompass pertinent news and information about local race events, poker runs, and other relevant boating activity at the Lake of the Ozarks. Unlike any other publication, proceeds from this guide will add to all other forms of Shootout fundraising and will be redirected back to our local community during this fall’s Presentation of Checks event. As a non-profit organization and the Lake of the Ozarks’ largest fundraiser, it is the goal of the Shootout and Shootout Offshore to raise a combined minimum of three quarters of a million dollars this year. To our local business owners and past Guide advertisers, please remember the Shootout’s mission and help make this goal possible when you hear from Jones.

Jones was raised at the Lake of the Ozarks and is a graduate of School of the Osage. She worked in the restaurant business for 15 years between Lake Ozark and Key West, Fla., while holding various positions within the insurance sales industry over the past six years. She is the owner and founder of an event planning business at the Lake of the Ozarks and has established herself as a networking staple amongst the tri-county business community. When she is not working, Jones loves spending time with her family, going above and beyond on events, spending time outdoors, and being out on the water.

Please help us in welcoming Destiny Jones as she becomes the fourth member of our dedicated crew working to streamline daily operations and advocate for the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout and Shootout Offshore every single day!
